Norwich & District
Well, it seems like ages since we were last at a Norwich & District round and Shane isnt looking forward to Mildenhall on the 13th July 2008. Its not his preferred track surface, nor the best track for any rider for the heavy rain which has been forecast, lets hope it keeps as dry as possible...and as normal...Shane will ride on anything i book him in on!!
As for what we have been up to recently, some Marshalling at National Youth Championships and Shane has raced some Eastern Centre rounds, however last out at East Hanningfield he tagged on to someone elses crash and broke a rib, pulled his shoulder and knocked his back out. But everything seems to be on the mend now and he's done a couple practise days at Besthorpe and wants to race Mildenhall.

OMG....
The weather has affected many of the races recently and has made the tracks pretty slippery.
A few of the rounds have been cut short due to the track being unridable for the younger riders.
This weekend we are off to donnington for the British GP, before Shanes last race of the season with Norwich and District at Scully.
Been a While....
Since my last post, Shane has been racing with the Peterborough club at Chatteris and we have had round 3 of teh Norwich and District Champs at Sculthorpe.
Shane has riode well though he does have a habit of stalling his beast on oaccasions which really hacks him and me off....but he doesnt lwet this deter him as it seems to give him even more determination to go out in the next race and do even better.
At sculthorpe he qualified for the B group. He had a bad race in race 1, but in race 2 he turned teh first corner in 4th and only dropped 5 places throughout the whole race, finally finishing in 16th overall. His best yet.
This weekend we are having a weekend off......1st in a long time...

16th May 2007
What a wet week !!!!!
After a week of continious rain, it was time for the 2nd Norwich and District round held at East Trax.
With the bike prepped Shane headed off to the start line for the first race, THE QUALIFER...
Shane got an average start and went round the first corner mid pack, with only 16 to qualify into A group it was a tall order, unfortuantly SHane finished in 20th spot so was autonatically put into B group.
Race 2 was however a different story, Shane went into the first corner mid pack but overtook a few riders through turns 2 and 3 to come out in 6th place, he then overtook a fallen rider and put in a solid ride all race to finish 5th..
The remainder of the day was called off due to track cionditions and the weather.
Results.
Update 09th May 2007
Well we have been kinda busy, Shane has entered races at Chatteris with the Northampton and Peterborough club.
Although he has been plagued with bad starts, he loves the track and hopes to do many more races there.
We spent 2 days at east trax preparing for this weekend, where the Norwich and District club are holding there 2nd championship round.
Shane was riding well and his lap times were pretty impressive, even beginning to style it up over the jumps.
This Weekend 25th March 2007

Mildenhall 15/16th July 2006
What a hot weekend it was to go out racing, but we managed it, 2 fulls days of racing and for me 2 half days of timekeeping.
It would be fair to say that many riders struggles in there races due
to the extream heat and as ready for c cold shower as anybody else.....
Anyway Shane had 2 fairly good days, never finished last and never got lapped (well except for the qualifying heats)
Well done to Chris Place who had an excellent day on the Saturday, winning all three races....
Well done To N&D club for staging such a hard and busy weekend.
Latest...
So Much has happened since i last posted, we have been off to the British Gp and Shane has been out riding nearly every weekend.
Had a trip to Wattisfield where Shane took part in his first Eastern Centre Meeting, he loved the track and have since returned for the evening Meeting held on the 5th July.
We have also raced with the Stevenage club and was extremely impressed with the organization and although the weather was against us we still had a good day's racing.
The weekend of the 24th/25th June saw a quick venue change for the Norwich and Districts event now to be staged at East Trax near Kingslynn.
Shane had a great Battle with 2 other riders but is now ahead of Ben Wigger in the championship Standings....( See results Page for current Standings..)
This weekend we are getting prepared for the next round of the NDMXC at Mildenhall a 2 day event, Cant wait.

Braintree Annual Scramble @ Stistead
After nice weather on sunday we were geared up for a good Bank Holiday Monday, how wrong were we....
The sun was shinning when we arrived at the track, got unloaded, Gazebo up and bikes scruitineered, 1st practise went OK, Shane seeing how the track goes and was all ready to have a go.
Then....
The heavens opened and the monsoon began.
Shane's first race and after a dicey start where he and many others were struggling to find grip on the uphill to the first corner, after the rain the track had got a tad slippery....
By the 2nd race the heavens had decided to rain on us once again which only added to the problems on the track making an already slippery track even worse...
The third race the track was impossible to find any grip at all and it was survival of the fittest.......
To top off the day we had to wait to be towed out along with everyone else....
Lets hope for better weather next time...

Wildtracks 22.05.2006
Well, What a wet weekend we all had.
Raced with the Stevenage Club at wildtracks, the track held up really well considering all the rain we have had lately.
Shane felt good after practise, went to the line for the first race, had a really good battle with someone on a kawasaki, but Shane came out triumphant...2nd and 3rd race proved a little more difficult as the weather got worse and the conditions were more of survival than of racing.
Shane took a close inspection of a ditch, but recovered and finished the race............Results will be posted soon
Next outing will be at Stisted with the Braintree Club this coming Bank Holiday Monday
